I believe every pet has a story worth telling, and my job is to capture those stories with honesty and care. With years of experience and a love for creative expression, I strive to make every session comfortable, personal, and unforgettable. And, I take pride in creating photographs that reflect emotions and connections.
While I didn’t have a dog of my own until adulthood, dogs have always been an integral part of my life. As a child, I was captivated by a book on pet care and dreamt of the day I could have my own dog. However, my father's career in the Air Force meant frequent moves, leading my parents to decide it would be challenging to have a dog. While a dog of my own during my childhood did not happen, I found other ways to nurture my love for dogs. At 13, I launched a babysitting and pet sitting business with friends, discovering the immense joy that comes from interacting and caring for pets.
As an adult, my lifelong dream of having my very own dog finally came to fruition! I also began volunteering as a puppy raiser for Canine Companions, a national service dog organization. What began as a journey to raise one future service dog evolved into over 25 years of dedicated volunteering, including raising 10 dogs and serving as a therapy dog handler at various hospitals, local library reading programs, and community events.
My passion for photography blossomed during my teen years. I was actively involved in my high school yearbook staff, capturing memories of high school life and learning to develop my own film. Over the years, I've honed my skills through various community photography classes, exploring genres from landscape to portrait photography. It was the birth of my son, coupled with the many dogs in my life, that truly ignited my love for dog and children photography.
I’d love to answer your questions, walk you through the process, and help you plan the perfect experience.
