I strongly believe that life is about making a positive difference in the world. It begins with compassion—truly seeing others, both human and animal, and choosing to help in ways both big and small. When we offer our time, skills, or creativity in service of something greater than ourselves, we create ripples of kindness that can truly change lives. Helping others isn’t only about fixing problems; it’s about connection, empathy, and using what we love to bring hope and awareness to those who need it most.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Fred Rogers, an American television personality who devoted his career to nurturing and educating others. He said:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”

That idea—the power of helpers—deeply resonated with me and inspired me to create an Instagram account called be_the_helpers, where I highlight dogs I have raised for Canine Companions, and their furry friends. Through this platform, I’m able to share my photography while also shining a light on the incredible work these dogs do within their communities.

Through my photography, I hope to continue making that kind of difference. By capturing the personality, resilience, and beauty of dogs—especially those in need—I aim to tell their stories in a way that inspires compassion and action. My goal is to use my art to support rescues, encourage adoption, and give back to organizations dedicated to protecting and caring for animals, as well as those that strengthen the profound bond between humans and animals—such as service dog programs and therapeutic initiatives. Photography is more than just an image; it’s a voice—and I want to use mine to help dogs find love, safety, and a brighter future.
